| We visited the Volkswagen Museum, Wolfsburg, in August, 2007. While we were hoping for a much more organized and informative experience we were still awed by the depth and breadth of the collection. They have everything from a 1934 pre-Type1 prototype through to a modern Touareg on tracks. They had exemplars of almost every year, type, and model of Beetle, Bus, Karmann Ghia, and many of the vehicles used by the German Army in WWII, including the famous Schwimmwagen. The lack of interpretation and interaction was real shame and what we hoped would be an all-day affair turned into a two hour "quickie". Still, it is a must-see for any VW enthusiast. |
